 | GOD ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISES |
GOD HAS NOT BROUGHT US THIS FAR TO LET US DROWN
In 1992, I took a party of volunteers to Romania on a coach laden down with goods donated for the Children's Home.
We travelled down through England, then through France, crossed Belgium, then travelled all the way across Germany. On reaching the Austrian border we went onto the Weigh Bridge as we had to go through freight as we were carrying Aid for Romania.
I sent two colleagues into the office with the paperwork for travel and vehicle documents; they quickly returned to the coach looking disheartened saying that the officials were refusing us a passage through Austria because of the weight of the goods in comparison to the laden weight of the vehicle and that the officials had also said that we had to turn around and go back.
I had a choice, I could accept what the physical was saying and turn around defeated and travel all the way back to England or ask the Holy Spirit for advice on what to do.
As God's Spirit spoke to me He asked me whether I was convinced that God wanted me to take the Aid to Romania!
My answer was yes because:-
1. He had provided the vehicle.
2. He had provided the goods.
3. He had provided the finance.
4. The children were depending on the goods.
Therefore, going back was not an option, but physically we could not go forward.
Delivering Aid to Childrens Home in Romania
The Holy Spirit told me to do as Moses did because God had not brought me this far to let me drown.
So I went into the official's office with the paperwork to hear the same reply from the border guard who spoke very little English and as I spoke even less Austrian. He said 'problem, laden weight, you must turn around'.
I said 'I have travelled through England, France, Belgium and Germany and I'm going to Romania. God has not brought me this far for you to turn me around'.
He looked at me and said 'Nein (no), it's a problem, laden weight, turn around'.
I looked at him and said 'I have travelled through England, France, Belgium and Germany and I'm going to Romania. God has not brought me this far for you to turn me around'.
He looked at me and said 'Nein (no) it's a problem, laden weight, you turn around'.
I could see that we were getting nowhere and continued by saying 'I have travelled through England, France, Belgium and Germany and I'm going to Romania. God has not brought me this far for you to turn me around
Now this went on back and forth for 30 minutes and he was getting frustrated. The lorries were building up behind my vehicle to be weighed, so he stood to his feet, banged his hand on the table and screamed at the top of his voice 'Nein, nein, nein, problem laden weight go back'.
So I smiled and said 'I have travelled through England, France, Belgium and Germany and I'm going to Romania. God has not brought me this far for you to turn me around'.
This went on for another 15 minutes. He then had an idea, he would send me to his superior in the main building who could speak better English than him and perhaps he could explain to this stupid Englishman that he must turn around and go back because there was no way he was coming through our country.
After parking the coach in the parking area I went into the bosses office. On arrival in his office, I noted that this gentleman could speak exceptional English and fully explained how their hands were tied because of the laws of Austria it was impossible to allow us entry because of the weight of the goods compared with the vehicle's legal limit of laden weight. There was nothing else for us to do but turn around and go back.
He then asked me if I now understood why I could not proceed.
I said 'yes, I understood'.
A large smile came across his face because he succeeded, or so he thought where his colleague had failed.
So I smiled back and said 'I needed him to understand my position that I was acting under a higher authority than his authority'.
Then I said 'I have travelled through England and, France, Belgium and Germany and I'm going to Romania. God has not brought me this far for you to turn me around'.
With his head in his hands and a total look of despair of his face, the same argument went on again for another 15 minutes and neither of us was giving an inch.
Healing is the same........ we know God clearly wants us healed and the Word says in
Isaiah 53:4 Surely he has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains (of punishment), yet we (ignorantly) considered Him stricken, smitten and afflicted by God (as if with leprosy)
that by Jesus' wounds we are healed. Yet when the devil tells us.. you know that God told you that He wants you healed, well this is as far as you go and you can just turn around and go back to your depression, your fears, your poverty, your sickness.
You have a choice to make like Moses... God had brought them out of captivity laden down with gold and there was not one sick or feeble amonst them.
Psalm 105:37 He brought (Israel) forth also with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
Yet, when the Red Sea stoppped them going any further and their enemy was almost upon them, the people said 'we were better off in Egypt. We might as well as go back.' Moses said 'No, trust God' They said 'How is He going to get us through this then'. Moses said 'All I know is this....
GOD DID NOT BRING US THIS FAR TO LET US DROWN
I knew the same, I did not care what the Austrian government said or the officials.
GOD HAD NOT BROUGHT ME THIS FAR FOR THEM TO TURN ME AROUND
So he finally asked me for my paperwork, stamped them and looked longingly into my eyes and said 'Please, please just go, you will not have to pay taxes. This stamp will get you through the border quickly. Now please, go to Romania.
If you want your healing from God, you must stand your ground even when it looks like you have no choice but to go back. Even those around you may say there is nothing for you to do now but give up and turn around.
You must quote the Word of God over your circumstances, but how many times do I quote it? Until the devil and his hordes give up!
Was that the end of my problems to get to Romania? No, they were just the beginning but in every situation, I faced I told the devil.... God has not brought me this far for you to turn me around.
How long did I have to do this? All the way to Romania.
With everything set against us we arrived at Romania.

How long will you have to believe God wants you healed? How long will you have to believe God's Word over the devils? all the way through the land of unbelief until you get into God's land of health and healing.

You all have heard of Jesus of Nazareth, who was anointed of God and went around healing ALL those under the power of the devil for God was with him. |
It is not that I could not see the facts, but God's truth will change the facts.
It may be a fact that you are sick, but the truth of God's Word spoken over that fact will change it.
You don't have to deny you are sick, you deny sicknesses right to stay according to God's truth.
